Quickie Update

So Katelyn did move to full fledge crawling, but I notice that she is moving slower than Kyle did when he learned. He started crawling a couple weeks later than Katelyn, but once he got it he just took off like a bullet. I think Katelyn struggles a little more since 'girly' clothes aren't that condusive to crawling either. Her knees get caught up in the skirts or flounces of her clothing.

Kyle's imagination is getting bigger every week. He now has two imaginary bear friends, Coda and Keenai (sp?). Some of you may remember these two characters from Disney's Brother Bear movie. So really they are imaginary in the sense that they aren't really there, but he didn't come up with the characters on his own. Anyway, they go with him to Tumbling class, the dinner table, the bathtub, and also everyday play.

Kyle is also starting to skip his nap during the day. If I have him in the car going or returning from somehwere, he'll still fall asleep. But if I try to put him down in the afternoon and go through our little pre-nap routine, he just keeps coming out of his room afterward asking, "Is naptime over yet, Mom?" This happens about every 5 minutes 'til I give up. We used to set a timer and just tell him he had to stay in his room for an hour, and he was pretty good about not coming out too often and would usually fall asleep in the last ten or fifteen minutes, but now it is a hassle for me to keep him in his room the whole hour. The only plus side to this is that we can start putting him down for bed at 8pm and he's usually out really quickly. Jeff even said that last night Kyle fell asleep while he was reading the bedtime story, which has never, ever happened to either of us before. :o)
