Things to remember

This blog may be boring for everyone but me, but I have a few things I want to remember about Katie and Kyle and I just want them written down somewhere:

Katie:

  • She uses the words "last morning" to refer to everything that happened yesterday (or really any amount of time in the past).

  • She asks to "carry me up" instead of asking "pick me up"

  • She loves to crawl all over the house and pretend that she's a kitty. She crawls around, tries to pick things up with her teeth, and meows instead of talks. My side of the family gets a kick out of this because I did exactly the same thing when I was little. However, Katie has added something which makes it less cute. She likes to try and lick people on the arm or hand when she goes by. Ewwww. Gross.

  • She is the girliest girl ever at 3 1/2. She likes to have her fingers and toes painted. She will only wear dresses. She clip clops around the downstairs in plastic heel shoes pushing a stroller. She has at least five different purses she carries around everywhere.

  • She is girly in every way but her hair. She Hates having her hair combed, and refuses to let me put it in ponytails or barrettes, except on very rare occasions. Just recently, she has allowed me to use a particular clip in order for me to place fresh flowers in her hair, which I think is just over the top adorable.

Kyle:

  • Kyle hates stickers and won't even pick them up or touch them. He tells everyone he is "allergic" to stickers.

  • He likes to sleep in only pajama bottoms (bare chested), as he puts it, "just like Daddy".

  • Kyle, just out of the blue, came up with this slogan after seeing a drug store commercial for Rite-Aid on T.V.: "If you don't have the right stuff, then go to Rite-Aid!"

  • Kyle had just played and lost a Mario Brawl game with Dad. After asking to play again, and winning, he turned to Jeff and exclaimed, "Who's a rock star now, Dad?!"
